Welcome to the Aalto-Volley Spring Tournament!
We are happy to announce the third edition of our team tournament! As in previous times, our goal is to provide more volleyball opportunities for the Aalto community. And once again, externals possessing the right spirit are welcome to join as well. 💪
As was the case last time, players get to form their own mixed teams and play against others in either recreational or more competitive pools. The competitive one is held on 9.5.2026 and hobby on 16.5.2026, with both pools having space for up to 12 teams!
So follow the steps below to gather your team, sign up, and come join us in building lasting volleyball traditions!

📝 Rules: (apply for all pools)
-A team must consist of 6-12 players.
-At least two ladies and two gents on the court at all times.

-If deemed necessary, the tournament organizer reserves the right to further specify the rules, or in case of too few enrollments in a single pool, combine pools together.
-Due to the time limitations, games are shortened (etc., sets are bit shorter than normal and set number is limited). Exact details are published after the sign-up is closed.

(*) Rotating substitutions: At the start of the set, a team chooses the players that are "in rotation". When rotating, the player in position 2 subs out, and the next player in line subs in to position 1 to serve. Players must remain in this order throughout the set, and players "outside of rotation" are not allowed to play within the set. In case of injury, the player may be removed from rotation or substituted via the official substitution rule.
Rotation can be done from two places;
- As described above; player in position 2 going out, and next player comes in to position 1.
- Similarily when player in position 5 goes out, next in line comes to position 4.
- If both locations are used, there is separate "line" for each position.
